In one of my last posts I said that the next thing i’d be working on this summer was going to be the python qbits, however, after finishing with the basics of C# I wanted to see what else could I do with the language, and to my pleasant surprise I found out that one of the best game engines, Unity, works with C# code.
Game development has never particularly caught my attention, which is weird considering how much I love videogames, but since I wanted to play more with C# I decided to give it a shot, and oh man, was it a great idea. I immediately became obsessed with it and spent the next couple of weeks playing with every setting, learning the C# extension, and watching every Unity video that came across my recommended tab in YouTube. That’s pretty much what I’ve been doing since then and I just wanted to share it in the blog and also say that it will likely be what i’ll be working on until the end of the summer. In this post is attached a picture of a valley environment I created though it may look weird because some entities such as grass, bushes or a cascade I made aren’t within render distance, and I also want to point out that the red cylinder that you can see in the picture is the First person character that I programmed.
